Sushi a japanese food speciality

Sushi is most loved food in Japan and also the most famous Japanese dish outside of Japan. In Japan, sushi is usually enjoyed on special occasions, such as a celebration. The food consisting of cooked vinegared rice (shari) combined with other ingredients (neta). Neta and forms of sushi presentation vary, but the ingredient which all sushi have in common is rice.

Sushi was first developed in Southeast Asia, and spread to south China before introduction to Japan. The term sushi comes from an archaic grammatical form no longer used in other contexts; literally, sushi means "sour-tasting", a reflection of its historic fermented roots. The oldest form of sushi in Japan, narezushi, still very closely resembles this process, wherein fish is fermented via being wrapped in soured fermenting rice. The fish proteins break down via fermentation into its constituent amino acids. This results in a sour taste and also one of the five basic tastes, called umami in Japanese. In Japan, narezushi evolved into oshizushi and ultimately Edomae nigirizushi, which is what the world today knows as "sushi".

how to create a rocking environment in your company

Reward your team

This is better way to retain, reward, and motivate their employees. Annual raises does little to excite a worker's discretionary effort, and is rarely tied to an employee's performance. It is a mathematical system in which exceptional team effort and involvement turns into additional rewards for everyone.

Offer an incentive to the entire workforce to improve the performance of the business and to reward them immediately when they do. The measurement system must be directed towards the activities that are most important to the company.

Research shows that employees some employees are primarily motivated by financial rewards, and will dramatically improve their performance to achieve such rewards.  On the other hand, some other employees may see motivating others with money as vulgar, and are disincented by such offers.  This second group of employees is more likely to be motivated to improve their performance through the use of nonmonetary rewards such as being thanked publicly at a departmental function, having lunch with the head of the organization, or receiving an extra day off.  The desired outcome of rewards and recognition programs is to improve performance.

Non-monetary recognition can be very motivating, helping to build feelings of confidence and satisfaction. An American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) report on employee retention research identified consistent employee recognition as a key factor in retaining top-performing workers.

Motivated Team Building

It is not enough to get your group together off site and have a few icebreaker games. If you want team building to work, you have to show the members of the team that it benefits them personally.

If you want team building to work, it's not enough to tell them that they are a team and must perform as one. You also have to show the members of the team that it benefits them personally.

First of all, your people have to acknowledge that they are part of a team. You can reinforce this by holding team meetings, posting team news on the bulletin board or your intranet page, and tracking team performance against team goals.
Secondly, they have to believe that the team is capable of producing more than the sum of its members. Lance Armstrong is a great bicycle racer, but he could not have won the Tour de France without the support and assistance of his team members. You may have a great customer service rep on your team, but without the cooperation of the other members of the team he or she would not be able to handle as many calls. You have to make this readily apparent to them and clearly delineate the increased rewards they can achieve through teamwork.

Boost morale and motivation of team

Low morale and motivation are two main concerns for many companies. They can affect productivity, increase attendance issues and spread negative vibes to co-workers and even customers. Due to the importance of morale and motivation, some companies have developed programs and policies to address these issues. Although low morale and lack of motivation can go beyond the workplace and stem from personal situations, some companies may do things to recognize and value employees.

Form a work enhancement (ways to make the job duties more interesting) team. This team should contain members of each department to discuss the jobs within the departments and how they could be more interesting. Perhaps they could come up with a change in the flow of the work or a new piece of equipment to use. A new training class can also relieve some of the possible boredom.

Designate a company activities manager. Picnics, field trips, family functions, and "take your kids to work" day are stimulating activities. When the family is involved in work-related functions, it allows for a feeling of inclusion and belonging to something important. It also sends a message to the employees of their importance and value.

Publish a company newsletter. Newsletters serve several purposes, as they provide information about the company, promotions and achievements of the employees, and births, graduations, birthdays and company anniversaries. Employees get to share in knowledge about their "work family." This is another way to send out the message to employees that they are valued.

Performance Plan

The right incentive plan properly implemented can motivate employees, increase productivity and allow the employer to differentiate pay given to high performers. An article in the Harvard Business Review (March-April 2000), "Leadership That Gets Results," reported that of six leadership styles studied, the use of rewards was the single highest predictor of 'organizational climate' and in turn had a direct correlation with financial results. 'Organizational climate' refers to a set of measurable properties of the work environment that are perceived by the people who live and work in it, and that have influence on their motivation and behavior. Climate characteristics that have been determined to significantly impact a company's bottom line are: flexibility, responsibility, standards, rewards, clarity and team commitment.
Incentive programs with tangible, memorable rewards are proven employee motivators. They boost sales, company morale, and build lasting bonds between you and your employees, customers and partners. 'Performance Based Incentives' do much more than 'give stuff away.' Sales Creators is primarily an integrated business solution provider; we design plans to help drive performance by creating incentive programs that are cost effective and that deliver outstanding ROI for our clients.

Performance based incentive programs can be set up for every division within a company. This is one of the more effective ways of performance building and it explores new ways to motivate your employees to outperform while have fun doing so. Sales Creators will build the promotional materials for your incentive program, select the theme and prepare the administration tools. Proper design and presentation will engage your employees to get them excited, and keep them excited during the incentive period.

Key factors that will really affect your team
  1. Provide good leadership. The team leader makes a huge difference and sets the tone for the team, so choose wisely.
  2. Encourage pro activeness on the team, rather than creating a dependency culture where nothing happens until 10 decisions are taken that go through 50 committees.
  3. Give everyone the opportunity to be heard. Some people love the sound of their own voice and you don’t want to lose that enthusiasm. At the same time you want to be sure that the quieter, more introverted, get their air time too.
  4. Encourage constructive interactions. No teams are conflict free. At the same time a team that is destructive in its interactions is never going to be a success.
  5. Focus on building and maintaining trust. It takes time, energy and effort and is key on any team.
  6. Respect each other and don’t assume that everyone needs to be like you. Diversity of experience, knowledge, skills and personalities are key components in success.

Service Industries And Technology

Service industries are growing rapidly for last two decades and it forms a backbone for social and economical development of India. In India, services sector, as a whole, contributed as much as 68.6 per cent of the overall average growth in gross domestic product (GDP) between the years 2002-03 and 2006-07.

India ranks fifteenth in the services output and it provides employment to around 23% of the total workforce in the country. The various sectors under the Services Sector in India are construction, trade, hotels, transport, restaurant, communication and storage, social and personal services, community, insurance, financing, business services, and real estate.
The most important services in the Indian economy has been health and education. They are one of the largest and most challenging sectors and hold a key to the country's overall progress.

The Indian information technology (IT) industry has played a key role in putting India on the global map and is now envisioned to become a US$ 225 billion industry by 2020.

Over the past decade, the Indian IT-BPO sector has become the country’s premier growth engine, crossing significant milestones in terms of revenue growth, employment generation and value creation, in addition to becoming the global brand ambassador for India.

According to a research report published by National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM), ‘IT-BPO Sector in India: Strategic Review 2011,’ the sector is estimated to aggregate revenues of US$ 88.1 billion in FY2011, with the IT software and services sector (excluding hardware) accounting for US$ 76.1 billion of revenues.

Now service industries are growing with growing technology. Technology completely changes the concept of service industries. Technology helps service industry in different ways to grow the industry. Technology reduces queues and waiting that was the biggest problem faced by public. Now services are available online that reduces industry cost as well as easily available to public.

Hotels and restaurants are valuable part of service industry that affects social and economical development of country. Rapid transformation in the lifestyle of Indians, particularly those living in urban India, has resulted in dramatic increase in the demand for processed food. The main reason why processed food is luring the urban Indians is the convenience.
The next time you go out for dinner to a fancy restaurant, take a look at the staff there. Well-groomed, polite and giving timely service, they may seem less in number, but every person has a distinctive job of his or her own.

There are lot of opportunities in restaurant and food industry in terms of technology. Food industry is relatively slow to adapt technology. But they will be technically rich within next 5 to 10 years due to increasing social and living standards of public.

There are few websites like tastykhana.com and justeat.in that offer online ordering, table booking and party management. Among those Tastykhana is a better service provider. Tastykhana is technically strong and they have strong delivery team. Other providers are deeply depend on restaurant delivery team while Tastykhana has it's own delivery team. Tastykhana has faster and well trained delivery team that delivers food up to 15 kilometer radius. Tastykhanaservices are now limited to pune only and will expand to all metro cities.

Startups in restaurant industry

Service industry in India is growing very rapidly and have a great contribution to Indian economy. If you remember, 5 years back service industries like hotels and restaurants were technically very poor. There was a very little presence of hotels and restaurants in web world. There was minimal influence of technology in service industry.

Now after 5 years service industry is very used to web world as well as technology. Technology have changed service industry in several ways. The way of working, customer service standard, promotions and facilities have changed rapidly. This enables a tough competition among them. In other word you can say the business is completely changed over the period.

Now I would like to come to the point. In recent years I have seen several startups that directly do business with restaurants. Home delivery business is a thought of new generation entrepreneurs. They definitely find a gap between restaurants and customers. This gap gave birth to a new concept of homedelivery business. Major players in this field are Tastykhana, Zomato, justeat(hungrybangalore), food ka mood and a place to dine. All of them are startups not more than 4 years in business.

These companies work on different models of business. Among them two models are popular. One is 'Lead Model' and other is 'Delivery Model'.

Lead Model

This model is very favorable as company prospects. As this model requires very small team of 4 to 6 employees to run the operations smoothly. The basic function of this model is to take order from customer and give lead to restaurant. Restaurant prepares order and deliver it to customer. In lead model they charge 5-10% commission from restaurants per order. So revenue come from restaurants in form of order commission, set up fees(very nominal) and advertisements on portal. Zomato, justeat(hungrybangalore), food ka mood and a place to dine they all work on lead based model.

Pros:
  1. Requires very small team to run the business.
  2. Business process is very easy and cost saving.
  3. Highly scalable business.
Cons:
  1. Business volume is very low.
  2. Conversion rate is very low.
  3. Not sure order will deliver to customer.

Delivery Model

This model is very favorable for restaurants as well as customers. As they commit to delivery food to customer's door step. Basically they provide end to end solution to customers and restaurants. In this model company take order from customer, place order to restaurant and also deliver food to customers. This model requires lot of human resources like delivery boys, customer care executives, sales team, technical team and management team. In delivery model they charge 15 to 25% from restaurants per order and also a nominal delivery charges to customer. So revenue come from both hands in form of delivery charges, commission, setup fees and promotions. Tastykhana is the only major player who works on delivery model.

Pros:
  1. Business volume is high.
  2. Conversion rate is very high.
  3. Reduces restaurant's headache as they deliver food.
  4. Revenue come from restaurants as well as customers.
  5. They are committed to deliver food at customer's door step.
Cons:
  1. Requires a big team to run the business.
  2. Business process is little bit complicated.
  3. It takes time to scale the business.

In coming days delivery model will be very popular as it provides end to end solution. This model will work as bridge between customers and restaurants.
